Global Talent Visa
Global Talent subclass 858 visa is a permanent visa for people who have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in an eligible field.
What you can do
- work and study in Australia
- stay in Australia permanently
- sponsor eligible relatives for permanent residence in Australia
- if eligible, apply for Australian citizenship
Eligibility criteria
To be invited to apply for a visa under the Global Talent Visa Program, an applicant must have an internationally recognised record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in one of the following areas:
- a profession
- a sport
- the arts
- academia and research
- be of benefit to Australia and have the ability to establish yourself in Australia
- be nominated by: an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, an eligible New Zealand citizen, or
an Australian organisation with a national reputation in your area of talent
- candidates should have the ability to attract a salary at or above the Fair Work high income threshold
